My imac may be damaged, but god dammit he’s still swarve.

January started off well, my lovely, lovely friends made my imac of some use once more and don’t mind reminding me of that fact. And I entered the month with a “Yay it’s a new year” attitude, eager to make use of new materials and try out different ideas.

And I did. A bit.
I discovered I love tulle, it’s awesome. I also did a little bit of experimenting with paper, but not really enough. It’s partly due to me working with new materials and getting frustrated with them (Copper tape is annoying. It likes to break.) and the paper I bought from paperchase being too lovely to cut into, but I plan to get moving a bit more with it this month.

I got a bunch of new things in my shop, but no sales. woo.
After a little hissy I am now telling myself that perseverance is key. As long as I have materials and hands I will keep making things. And hopefully figure out the right way of promoting them at some point.

Started networking tentatively. Being a little active on Etsy forums. I was planning to go to creative networks in Leeds this month but they’ve suddenly introduced a need to register beforehand. I found out about this too late and wasn’t very impressed.

I have been blogging more, but I think I’m going to introduce a new theme for post, being “Awesome”. At least once a week I shall post something that is awesome. Awesome.

Hopefully next month will be a little more successful! Time to get all geared up again.
