inspiration wall
- January 29, 2010
There’s been an awful lot of inspirational workspaces on craft websites recently, which make me hate my workspace more. I’m useless at keeping it tidy, there’s always scraps of paper and thread all over my desk, and abandoned ideas and letters pile up wanting attention but rarely getting any.

One of the ideas I’ve liked about the workspaces I’ve seen are inspiration walls. My old bedrooms were inspiration rooms, with postcards and posters everywhere, but in my rented flat I felt reluctant to put things up. The paint on the walls is marked by simply being near it, and I would like my deposit back thank you.

But the bare white walls were getting to me, so I decided to make little clotheslines to hang pictures I like on, convincing myself that it would use less blue tack. It in fact uses loads, but I’ve now resigned myself to painting the flat before I leave.

Wall contains obligatory lolcat.
